Eleanor, this was such a fascinating peek into your (and your husband's) differing approaches to planning, when it comes to both life and travelβI loved getting to read your take on this subject!
β Another β¦ difference between my husband and Iβ¦β. This article made me think about the difference in how my wife and I make decisions, in terms of how much info is needed and when the decision has to be made.
Every marriage is different, and obviously one could write books about the nuances here but I think "different skills and perspectives, aligned goals" works pretty well in most of the ones I see.
Good morning Eleanor - this article brought me back to the times my wife and I made the many journies we took through airports and onto planes lugging not only our luggage but also the walker, pumping machines, and diapers we needed to get us through even just our travels until we could get settled and get our feet under ourselves and gather our senses and find a base to resupply.
As a timely aside I thought I would mention a book that I am expecting to arrive today. It is called βThe Upside of Stress: Why Stress Is Good for You, and How to Get Good at Itβ by Dr. Kelly McGonigal. Sounds like a good one, I will let you know when I find the time out to read it! π
